The Malling School is a mixed 11-18 school teaching the full curriculum but also allowing students to specialise in the health-focused subjects of Sport and Science – increasingly relevant in today’s society.

The school has state-of-the-art facilities in brand new buildings (September 2007). The school is set in unique and extensive grounds, which include a small lake.

There is a full complement of experienced and talented staff and a ‘can-do’ attitude. The school has a proven track record in improving the abilities and potential of its students. Results are rapidly improving with 2008 GCSE results doubling the number of students achieving 5 qualifications at grades A to C including Maths and English, and 40% achieving 5 at grades A to C in any subject.

The Science department in particular is excellent and has recently been selected as one of only four departments in Kent to be showcased as part of the National Strategy.

The OFSTED report described The Malling School as "Good" in 2006 and the Special Language Unit within the school as "Outstanding".

Sixth form subjects are taught as part of a consortium with Holmesdale Technology College, Aylesford School – Sports College and Wrotham School.

Holmesdale Technology College is a mixed 11-18 Technology College with over 850 students currently on roll, rising to 1000 over the next few years. It teaches the full curriculum but students can also specialise in technology subjects, including Science, ICT, Maths and Design Technology, equipping them for an increasingly technology-focused world.

The school re-designated as a “High Performing School” in 2005 and added “Training School” to its portfolio.  It is a popular school and heavily oversubscribed, and as a result has increased by two forms of intake.

2008 GCSE results showed a further improvement with the number of students achieving 5 GCSEs at grades A* to C, including Maths and English, rising by a third. The number achieving 5 GCSEs at grades A to C in any subject reached 66%.

In September 2007 we moved into our school, following a two year complete re-build. The only part of the original building remaining is the front of the original 1930 school. We kept this as it is a “landmark” feature, able to be seen from a wide area. Even this has been completely re-modelled to reflect a “school of the future” approach. We have invested heavily in ICT and now proudly boast a 1:1 student to computer ratio.
